Minimum downtime means customers and partners spend more time in the air!

Position Summary

The Business Development Representative plays a crucial role in expanding our B2B sales. This position requires a dynamic individual with 2-5 years of business development or sales experience selling services, capable of effectively researching, building, and maintaining a sales pipeline. You’ll be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic sales plans, and collaborating with team members to optimize sales efforts in the Unmanned Aviation and Emerging Advanced Air Mobility Industries. Attendance at team meetings, sales training sessions, and trade shows is essential, with travel required for the latter. Some aviation regulatory knowledge is highly recommended for this position.

This role works closely with the leadership team to define strategic objectives, helps represent Robotic Skies with customers, potential customers, industry groups, and will be instrumental in the development of new products and services.
This position is remotely located.

Reports to the Vice President of Operations.

Key Accountabilities

Sales and Development
  • Drive the B2B sales process, maintaining accurate records of business development activities and interactions in the sales pipeline
  • Help develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve organizational objective
  • Effectively prepare for the future while maintaining current customer success and momentum
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and customer calling
Collaboration and Engagement
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company’s services and effectively communicate and demonstrate the Company’s vision, mission, and values
  • Update and maintain current and detailed records in the company CRM
  • Provide formal reporting detailing ongoing status and progress against agreed upon objectives
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize sales efforts
  • Participate actively in team meetings and sales training sessions
Market Expansion
  • Travel to trade shows, customer sites, and other venues as required, representing Robotic Skies and expanding our market reach
  • Engage in continuous market research to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge

 Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of business development or sales experience
  • Selling services experience
  • Demonstrated experience in researching, building, and maintaining a sales pipeline
  • A reliable self-starter with highly organized and efficient time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to be coached
  • Ability to work 20 to 30 hours per week
  • Unmanned Aviation or Aviation knowledge (Preferred)
