The FAA’s Drone Advisory Committee (DAC) announced 12 new appointments on January 5th, including Robotic Skies founder & CEO Brad Hayden. The DAC helps to create a broad strategy for the safe integration of UAS into the National Airspace System. Brad Hayden will bring his expertise and experience in UAS and aircraft maintenance as a DAC member.
Brad commented on the perspective he brings to the appointment: “By sensibly leveraging existing infrastructure and well-established aviation best practices, we can strike a balance to efficiently build and scale the support ecosystem for UAS and leave room for innovation. For a hundred years, the aviation industry has been building, maintaining, and certifying aircraft to fly in the national airspace. Our collective experience is fuel to forge the safe and efficient integration of UAS technology with incumbent operations.”
