Robotic Skies today announces the launch of its cloud-based SPAN software platform for managing and tracking Unmanned Aviation Systems (UAS) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) service and repair projects for its commercial OEM and aircraft operator customers. The SPAN platform is powered by CORRIDOR Aviation Service Software by Continuum Applied Technology, Inc. — a Robotic Skies strategic partner.
SPAN integrates information across Robotic Skies’ global Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) network via a customized implementation of the world-class CORRIDOR software platform to manage its unique MRO operations for rapidly-developing new sectors of the aviation market. SPAN employs cloud-based CORRIDOR Go software, and access to the platform will be rolled out to beta Robotic Skies Service Centers in the first quarter of 2023.
UAS/AAM manufacturers and operators are realizing that access into the global airspace is contingent upon implementing established aviation compliance practices, including formalized maintenance programs and accurate, regulatory-compliant recordkeeping. Robotic Skies’ SPAN platform facilitates both scheduled and ad hoc maintenance activity management, while tracking aircraft compliance — as conducted by the global Robotic Skies network of service providers. Service data using SPAN can then be used by Robotic Skies’ customers to establish optimal maintenance intervals and improve aircraft reliability.
“Reliable data collection, analysis and prediction will be essential to safe and productive remotely-piloted aircraft operations, and SPAN encompasses all aspects of service and maintenance activity across our global network”, said Brad Hayden, CEO and Founder of Robotic Skies. “The Robotic Skies-CORRIDOR partnership creates a one-stop, comprehensive solution that supports the unique UAS/AAM operations requirements while maintaining regulatory compliance for both aircraft maintenance execution and maintenance tracking.
“It’s exciting to see this launch of Robotic Skies SPAN platform”, said Mike Greig, Executive Vice President, Continuum Applied Technology, Inc. “Robotic Skies is adapting the powerful and trusted CORRIDOR solution to interconnect their global service center network, and to provide their UAS/AAM customers with valuable data to improve aircraft and operations.”
