The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of uncrewed systems and robotics, represents corporations and professionals from more than 60 countries involved in industry, government and academia. AUVSI members work in the defense, civil and commercial markets.
Robotic Skies sees the further integration of artificial intelligence into uncrewed systems as a revolutionary development.
“AI will enable unmanned systems to make more sophisticated decisions
in real-time, allowing for greater autonomy and efficiency in tasks
ranging from surveillance to delivery,” Nattress mentioned.
Outside of decision-making, Nattress adds, “Improved AI algorithms
will enhance the ability of unmanned systems to predict and manage
maintenance, making maintenance more adaptable to complex and dynamic
operations.”
Additionally, “AI-driven unmanned systems are expected to collaborate
more effectively, enabling swarming technologies where multiple drones
or robots can work together seamlessly to achieve common objectives,”
said Nattress.
