service-drone and Robotic Skies Complete Aviation-Level Maintenance Program for MULTIROTOR Line of sUAS

UAS are the topic of a National Business Aviation Robotic Skies and service-drone announced today that FAA-certified repairman Chris Haskell has completed an intensive manufacturer training program to troubleshoot, maintain and repair service-drone’s MULTIROTORTMline of small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS). Haskell, the Facility Manager for Henderson-based Kings Avionics, Inc., a full service FAA Part 145 repair station (and Robotic Skies’ founding partner), attended the program at service-drone’s production facilities in Hamburg, Germany.

“We hosted Chris for a unique training program. He was an intense class of one, and learned all aspects of assembly and maintenance on our airframes. We specifically chose Chris because he brings a general aviation perspective to an otherwise Remote Control (RC) model culture that still dominates the nascent sUAS industry,” says Dr. Bernd Lutz, CEO of bizUAS Corp, the North- and South American distributor for service-drone. “We feel confident that his knowledge of our MULTIROTOR products is on par with the best of our company, and look forward to him implementing an aviation-class maintenance program for our sUAS in the United States and Canada.”

With factory training complete, Robotic Skies is now deploying a comprehensive maintenance and repair program for service-drone that is based on best practices gleaned from the manned aviation industry. Haskell will also assume the role of lead trainer for other repairmen in the network of nearly fifty Part 145 Robotic Skies Service Centers, ensuring field service coverage for the airframes across North America.

“Step by step, we are getting prepared for the wave of commercial drones which will be in need of ongoing – and eventually FAA regulated – inspections and repair,” says Robotic Skies President and CEO Brad Hayden. “Having the first and only factory-trained FAA repairman for these multirotors is a huge asset for our repair station network.”

Robotic Skies was formed to take advantage of the electronic and regulatory expertise at avionics repair stations and transfer that knowledge to the burgeoning commercial drone market.
